Abstract
This study presents the results of the implementation of CODIP-R, a psycho-educational intervention on emotions. Participants were 24 first level primary school students in A Coruña divided into an experimental group (n=13) and a control group (n=11). It´s almost an experimental design of a non equivalent control group. Students were measured before and after the intervention using SDQ-Self. Results showed that the general stress rates were significantly lower in the post test among those who participated in the program, but not the ones from the control group. The challenge now is to introduce socio-emotional learning into a curriculum model that normally gives very little space to work on contents further than the academic.
