The cognitive map of the students of Fine Arts I: Knowledge of urban landmarks

Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine whether gender and years living in the city influenced the knowledge of the city. To analyze this, we selected a group of 119 students of Fine Arts in the city of Pontevedra. We found that gender did not influence the number of the names of the buildings, however, the number of years living in the city influenced the memory. People who had been living in the city of Pontevedra for more than a year remembered the name of more buildings and spaces that people who with less than one year of length of stay in the city.
