Abstract

The mainaimofthestudy is to knowthe real situationthatoccupythewomen in thefinancial sector throughtheanalysisofpersonal variables (age, levelofstudies,…) and professional (ones, category,proffesionallevel, seniority, peopleundertheirdirection,…). The sample is formedby a total of 979 employeesof 226 bankingoffices in Galicia. The resultsobtainedshowthatmen and womensharethesameworkspacethere are notfairness, sincemostoffices are managedbymenmoreoverwomenneed more training and time to reach a positionofresponsibility.
