The cognitive map of the students of Fine Arts II: Knowledge of the historical center of Pontevedra

Abstract
In this research we wanted to assess the knowledge that students of Fine Arts of Pontevedra have of the streets of the historic center of the city. We selected a group of 119 students from the Faculty of Fine Arts in the city of Pontevedra (Spain), and we presented to them a map of the city, with the names the streets of the city, but with 20 streets where, instead of appearing the name of the street, appeared a number. The task of the students was to indentify the names of the streets that appeared labeled with a number. We found that there was significant difference in remembering the names of the streets between individuals who had been one year o less living in the city and those that have been in place took more than a year.
