Review of: Fierro, A. (2014). The construction of the person. Studies for an action and personal evolution Psychology. Málaga: SPICUM Universidad de Málaga. 538 pp. ISBN: 9788497478700.
Compilation of theoretical works, written by the teacher (master) Alfredo Fierro, after a lifetime devoted to the Psychology of Personality. All focused on a key but insufficiently addressed problem: What is the meaning of psychology as a science and as a technology? The set is as consistent as passionately. Starts echoing the famous exhortation of the Delphic Oracle "Know thyself", and develops a sound response along the three next chapters. The conclusion is that Psychology should help develop "a person that can manage for his/herself a satisfying experience of life". And finally offers us an original methodological wink. Definitely a work of inescapable reading to go beyond the mere application disconnected current psychological technology.
