Abstract

The purpose of this paper is the assessment of the effects of an intervention program based on ICT on the development of a child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Based on the relations of the theory of mind and executive functions with autism they were identified as main objectives: to assess the effectiveness of the intervention of ICT Syndrome Autism, assess possible modifications to the program for greater efficiency according to results, increasing metacognitive abilities of participants and improve understanding of others' mental states. For this, a single case study with an X patient, a 10 years to evaluate their conduct took place. Instruments. For pre and post assessment of executive functions were applied the test Cori, Go / No-go test and Wisconsin Card distribution. After the pretest a workshop on executive functions and theory of mind, with the computer application Aprender Jugando (Mata, 2013) and supported by activities in Second Life was applied. Results. After analyzing the results found that there was an increase in skills related to Theory of Mind.
