Abstract

Playgroundsshould be a spaceofludiccoexistence, but in many cases thesespots are a focusofseriousconflicts and games are reduced to a smallgroup.The folk games as a social and cultural creation are a phenomenonthatsocializes and educatespeople.In thisstudy we presenttheexperienceswith folk games in theschoolyardsoftwoPrimaryschools in a rural community.We usethemicroethnography as methodology, to detailtheoperationofeachprogram. As mainconclusion we can saythattheapplicationofthe folk games at recesseshelps to alleviateconflicts in theplayground.
