Review of Giftedness: Educational answers
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this book, we focus on one of the topics about which, from many decades ago to this very day, Psychology should give great attention. In fact, there are three key-chapters that are considered: the concept of giftedness, its identification and assessment, and educational answers. The three authors present their work in a straightforward, clear, precise, detailed way, and yet, broad and deep. One aspect to emphasize is its simple, current, and comprehensible language, and also, its effort to never neglect the needs of gifted students, from psychological and educational answers to adaptation difficulties. In concern to the assessment of gifted students, the relevance of the cognitive, social, emotional, and motivational dimensions is confirmed. Here, the authors opt for a multidimensional approach to debate intervention processes, promoting academic enrichment and academic acceleration, and ending with a stronger focus on academic settings.
