Resumen

El presente artículo analiza cuáles son las variables determinantes del nivel de conocimiento financiero de los participantes del programa de educación financiera del Banco de Loja durante el año 2016. Las variables consideradas en el estudio corresponden a sexo, cobertura y conocimiento financiero a partir de una muestra de 182 capacitados. El estudio propone para la modelación de los datos el empleo de la prueba no paramétrica U de Mann-Whitney, debido a la no normalidad del conocimiento financiero. Los resultados determinaron que la variable sexo es influyente en el estudio a diferencia de la variable cobertura.
