Abstract

This new book by Marc Depaepe, Frank Simon and Angelo Van Gorp is the culmination of more than twenty years of research into the life and psychopedagogical work of the Belgian doctor and educational innovator – at home and internationally – Jean-Ovide Decroly. The book reflects the academic and methodological expertise of the authors, as they re-examine existing ideas about Decroly’s biography and legacy in the light of disruptive new ‘demythologising’ information.
