Phubbing y ajuste psicoemocional en contextos educativos: Relación con el sexo y el tipo de estudios

El presente estudio analiza el fenómeno del phubbing en estudiantes y su relación con variables sociodemográficas, psicoemocionales y tecnológicas en contextos educativos. Se realizó un diseño transversal de alcance descriptivo-correlacional con una muestra de 2.086 estudiantes de entre 14 y 27 años mediante un cuestionario autoinforme aplicado en los centros educativos. Se emplearon instrumentos validados para evaluar el phubbing, la autoestima, las dificultades emocionales y conductuales, la regulación emocional interpersonal y el uso problemático de Internet. Los resultados muestran que el phubbing es una conducta frecuente y se observaron diferencias significativas en función del tipo de estudios, con mayores niveles en estudiantes universitarios, mientras que no se encontraron diferencias en función del sexo. El modelo multivariable indicó que el uso problemático de Internet presentó la asociación independiente más consistente con el phubbing, y también se observaron asociaciones significativas con la edad y con las dificultades emocionales y conductuales. En conjunto, los resultados sugieren que el phubbing es un fenómeno multifactorial con implicaciones relevantes para el bienestar y la convivencia en contextos educativos, lo que refuerza la necesidad de desarrollar estrategias psicoeducativas orientadas a un uso saludable y autorregulado de la tecnología.
