Abstract
The author in this book makes a detailed analysis, using numerous examples of daily and everyday situations in the classroom life, how the immediacy, haste and consumerism that characterize current social reality directly and negatively affects children's education, both children and their families, the teaching staff and the teaching-learning process itself. It proposes a "slow" school that respects the individual rhythms and allows to take advantage of each of the educational opportunities that are hidden on a day-to-day basis.
