Abstract

This paper examines the way universal and local exhibitions were taken as a didactic resource at the Arts and Crafts Schools in the period 1886-1939, pointing out the educational objectives and the activities to fulfil them, as well as the importance of those exhibitions for the development of art and industry during those years.
