Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • I confirm that the metadata corresponding to the title, abstract and keywords of the article are in both languages (Spanish and English). Articles that do not meet this premise will be rejected.
  • The submission has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor).
  • Whenever possible, bibliographic references should have their DOI at the end.
  • The manuscript presented has 1.5 lines spacing, with margins of 3 centimeters on its upper and lower edges and 2.5 centimeters on its right and left edges, in Time New Roman font with 12pt size characters, black ink and pages numbered in the center of the footer and from the first page. The titles of the sections of the article are in bold and lowercase (only the first letter in capital letters).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and biliographic requirements outlined in Author's Guidelines , which appear in About the journal.
  • Tables, figures, graphics and images are numbered, inserted into the text in their correct place and have a legend complying with APA sixth edition standards.
  • I confirm that I am submitting two separate Word files. The first file incorporates all the data of the authors indicated in the submission regulations; full name and surname of all authors and their order of appearance, affiliations, ORCID and contact email of the main author. The second file incorporates the title of the work, abstract and keywords in both languages; Spanish and English, followed by the full text of the work with the different sections or paragraphs and finally the bibliographic references according to APA standards sixth edition and including the DOI of all the articles that have it.
  • I am aware that articles sent after January 1, 2024 will have to pay a fee of 150 euros if they are accepted. This fee will be paid once it is accepted and is necessary to maintain the quality standards of the journal.

Letters to the editor

Notas cortas, de un máximo de 1000 palabras, que incluyan opiniones de lectores sobre la actualidad de alguna de las áreas de la revista (deporte escolar, educación física o psicomotricidad) pueden agregarse hasta 10 referencias y no incluyen resúmenes.

Original papers

Incluye investigaciones descriptivas, experimentales o cualitativas en el ámbito del deporte escolar, educación física o psicomotricidad. La extensión máxima del cuerpo del manuscrito será de 3500 palabras, incluyendo hasta 40 referencias bibliográficas actualizadas (50% de los últimos cinco años) y resúmenes en español e inglés. Para aquellos estudios de carácter observacional (transversales, cohortes o casos y controles) se exige el uso de la Declaración de la Iniciativa STROBE (STrengthening the Reporting of OBservational studies in Epidemiology, Fortaleciendo el Reporte de Estudios Observacionales en Epidemiología). Para aquellos estudios de carácter experimental se exige el uso de la Guía CONSORT (CONsolidated Standards Of Reporting Trials, Estándares Consolidados del Reporte de Ensayos).

Reviews

Incluyendo aquellas de carácter sistemático y narrativo, corresponde a puestas al día en un tema específico del quehacer del técnico deportivo, docente o psicomotricista. La extensión máxima del cuerpo del manuscrito es de 5000 palabras, incluyendo hasta 100 referencias bibliográficas actualizadas (50% de los últimos cinco años) y resúmenes en español e inglés. Para aquellas de carácter sistemático se exige el uso de la Declaración PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses, Ítems de Reporte Preferidos para Revisiones Sistemáticas y Meta-Análisis).

Didactic experiences

Incluye experiencias realizadas por docentes, técnicos deportivos o psicomotricistas en el ámbito del deporte escolar, educación física o psicomotricidad. La extensión máxima del cuerpo del manuscrito será de 3500 palabras, incluyendo hasta 40 referencias bibliográficas actualizadas (50% de los últimos cinco años) y resúmenes en español e inglés. Los autores aportarán todos los detalles necesarios para mostrar su método de trabajo y experiencia. Esta debe contener una introducción/fundamentación teórica, unos objetivos, material, destinatarios y metodología, resultados, discusión y conclusión, así como una evaluación de lo realizado.

Protocols and research advances

Artículos de investigación en etapa de diseño y/o implementación (resultados interinos). La extensión máxima del cuerpo del manuscrito será de 2000 palabras con 20 referencias bibliográficas actualizadas (75% de los últimos cinco años), debiendo incluir resúmenes en español e inglés. Para avances de investigación se exige el uso de STROBE, CONSORT o de otra guía sugerida por Equator-Network según sea el caso. Para los protocolos de investigación se exige el uso del formato de Proyectos FONIS (Fondo Nacional de Investigación en Salud).

Case Studies

Deben ser de relevancia académica, con especial cuidado del componente bioético. La extensión máxima del cuerpo del manuscrito será de 1500 palabras y 20 referencias bibliográficas actualizadas (75% del último quinquenio), incluyendo resúmenes en español e inglés. Los casos clínicos pueden tener un máximo de 3 autores.
