Abstract

This paper is not just a summary of graphic design rules applied to Heritage Interpreting, but a manifesto regarding what a graphic interpreter is and in what situation these pro fessionals are nowadays. The work of a graphic interpreter is included in “non personal” Heritage Interpretation, done by an interpreter who is not present at the time of the public’s visit and carried out through elements of graphic communication. The paper tries to shed some light on a complex, undervalued profession. The origin of this situation is In the lack of awareness of the entire creative process.
