Resumen

Estudio empírico cualitativo con enfoque interpretativo. El objetivo de investigación es determinar las diferencias y similitudes en la construcción social de los modos de experiencia turística de interés y ruptura. La metodología se basó en entrevistas en profundidad a turistas residentes de la Ciudad de México, desde la perspectiva teórica de la metáfora dramatúrgica de Erving Goffman.


Se identificaron características en la región posterior (backstage) de la planeación del viaje y de las formas de viajar, conocer y recordar en los turistas, así como en la región anterior (front stage), comportamentales y actitudinales en los roles de turistas como actuantes, de relaciones interpersonales con otros actuantes, equipos y auditorios, que se identifican con uno o ambos de los modos de experiencia turística estudiados. Finalmente se analizan los alcances y limitaciones del estudio y se plantean futuras líneas de estudio sobre los modos de experiencia turística.
