The complex process of planning in Physical Education makes the teacher to be involved in many doubts and sometimes fall into errors already typified by the scientific literature, which prevent the achievement of the proposed objectives. This article proposes new planning structures based on the intermittent, alternated, reinforced and irregular teaching units already suggested previously by literature. Using the main attributes provided by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization of flexibility and dynamism of planning in order to reach maximum effectiveness in achieving the objectives, new structures based on the distribution and time allocation dedicated to learning are proposed. These structures called horizontal programming and combined or mixed programming, overcome difficulties and problems associated with traditional programming with shorter units focused on unitary contents and objectives. These structures are proposed to be taken into account by teachers, analyzing their advantages over traditional unit-based programs.
