The Gap between Formal and Real Equality. The Education as a Key Factor in the Equality Plans

Formal equality recognition in the law has been carried out in international, European and national level by organisms and public administrations. In addition, action plans have been developed. The last Plan is the Equal Opportunities Strategic Plan 2008-2011. It is a state Plan and has twelve axis. The forth of them is referred with education, the aim of this work, because the important role that it plays in the achieving of more equal society. Despite governments actions are not enough, they are necessary, and the current paralysation of new Equality Plan entails an obstacle to progress in this area.
