As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is being evaluated in another journal.
  • The text file has doc or rtf format.
  • The text conforms to the presentation standards outlined in the Author Guidelines, which are found in About the Journal.
  • The text conforms to the length provided for each category in the Author Guidelines.
  • The text includes the title, abstract and keywords in the manner specified in the Author Guidelines.
  • The author uses endnotes and citations in the manner specified in the Author Guidelines.
  • The illustrations of the text conform to the standards specified in the Author Guidelines.

PROCEDURE IN ENGLISH

The journal will not have correctors of style. The original ones that do not fulfill the following guidelines will be returned directly to its authors.

1.- Presentation of the text  

  • Articles can be submitted in Spanish, Galician, Portuguese and English. Every work will be published in the original language and English.
  • The text must appear in format DOC (Microsoft Word).
  • Text in DIN-A4. Paragraphs have to be set up: Spacing before 6 pts; Spacing after 12 pts; Line spacing 15 pts.

2.- Extension of the text 

  • Articles of investigation: 3000-4000 words and twenty images.
  • Interviews: 1500-2500 words and five images.
  • Critiques of architecture (without arbitration): 800-1000 words and three images.
  • Reviews of books (without arbitration): 400-500 words and two images.

These numbers do not include: title, abstract, keywords, notes, bibliography, image captions and sources. 

3.- It will have to be included before the text of the work

  • Title, 80 characteres maximun.
  • Abstract, 120-150 words.
  • Keywords: five.

4.- It will have to be included after the text of the work

  • Illustrations numbered correlatively and with their captions.
  • List of sources of each illustration. 
  • Bibliography used in the text.
  • Endnotes, 1000 words maximun. 

5.- Bibliography

  • They will be included in the notes following the criteria set by The Chicago Manual of Style (Notes and Bibliography). 
  • This manual is available online at this web page
  • References will not be accepted that are not contained in the notes.
  • This bibliography must be insert in the journal web page in References. Each reference is equivalent to a paragraph ending with a separate point and separated with a blank line. 

6.- Endnotes

  • The notes will appear at the end of text numbered correlatively.
  • The calls to notes in the text will be realized in superindex, with the specific option of the program Microsoft Word.

7.- Images

  • They will have to be indexed inside the text of the following form: (Fig. 01).
  • At the end of the text illustrations will be inserted with the correspondent number and caption. 
  • The caption will contain the following information: author, work, location, chronology an detail. . Ex: Fig. 01. Decio Tozzi & Luiz Carlos Ramos, Escuela Técnica Superior de Comercio, Santos (São Paulo), 1963/67; drawing of the section.
  • Files will have be uploaded to the journal web page as complementary and independent files, in JPG format, with a minimal size of 10x15 and 300 ppp and to have good contrast. The files will have to go numbered of the following form: Fig. 01.
  • Is a responsibility of the author to assure the permission of reproduction of the images.

8.- Deadline for submission

  • The texts must be submitted within the month of October to the website of the journal.
