Resumo

Nos últimos 20 anos aumentou o interese pola construción de ferramentas de información destinadas a axudar aos tradutores de textos especializados, por exemplo a empregar a terminoloxía axeitada á hora de traducir. Neste traballo propoñemos o emprego da teoría funcional da lexicografía como base teórica coa que poder construir dicionarios especializados deseñados para satisfacer as necesidades deo tradutor, especialmente do traductor experto. Ilustramos a proposta teórica coa referencia a dous dicionarios inglés-español de contabilidade que oferecen aos seus potenciais usuarios solucións imaxinativas e novedosas coas que solucionar os seus problemas de tradución: O Diccionario Inglés-Español de Contabilidad: Traducción; o Diccionario Inglés-Español de Contabilidad: Traducción de Frases y Expresiones. Esta proposta é diferente da que presentan outros investigadores, especialmente os que cren que a terminoloxía/terminografía é unha parte da Lingüística Aplicada que posibilita o deseño e construción deste tipo de ferramentas con plantexamentos teóricos tirados da Enxeñería do Coñecemento, da Lingüística do Corpus, e das Ciencias Cognitivas
