La elaboración de diccionarios especializados para el traductor: Teoría y práctica

Resumen

En los últimos 20 años ha aumentado el interés por la construcción de herramientas de información destinadas a ayudar a los traductores de textos especializados, por ejemplo a utilizar la terminología adecuada a la hora de traducir. En este trabajo proponemos el empleo de la teoría funcional de la lexicografía como base teórica con la que poder construir diccionarios especializados diseñados para satisfacer las necesidades del traductor, especialmente del traductor experto. La propuesta teórica la ilustramos con referencia a dos diccionarios inglés-español de contabilidad que ofrecen a los usuarios potenciales de los mismos soluciones imaginativas y novedosas con las que solucionar sus problemas de traducción: El Diccionario Inglés-Español de Contabilidad: Traducción; el Diccionario Inglés-Español de Contabilidad: Traducción de Frases y Expresiones. Esta propuesta es diferente a la que presentan otros investigadores, especialmente los que creen que la terminología/terminografía es una parte de la Lingüística Aplicada que posibilita el diseño y construcción de este tipo de herramientas con planteamientos teóricos sacados de la Ingeniería del Conocimiento, la Lingüística del Corpus, y las Ciencias Cognitivas.
