Scope and focus

The Anuario da Facultade de Dereito da Universidade da Coruña is a scientific journal in the field of Law devoted to the dissemination of original research works.

Its scope is broad and interdisciplinary, welcoming contributions from all branches of legal science, as well as studies incorporating comparative, international, or interdisciplinary perspectives in connection with other areas of knowledge.

The journal aims to promote critical analysis, academic rigor, and the advancement of legal knowledge, with particular attention to current issues, social transformation, and normative and case law developments.

The journal is addressed to the academic community, legal professionals, and, more generally, to all those interested in legal study and research.

Publication frequency and estimated publication timelines

The journal is published annually (January to December), although articles are uploaded to the platform progressively as they successfully complete the double-blind peer review process.

The Anuario da Facultade de Dereito da Universidade da Coruña undertakes to carry out the evaluation process with the utmost diligence.

As a general guideline, the evaluation process is expected not to exceed three months from the receipt of the complete manuscript, without prejudice to possible variations resulting from the volume of submissions, the availability of reviewers, or other exceptional circumstances.

External double-blind peer review process

The Editorial Committee will submit received manuscripts to external experts for evaluation and, based on their reports, will decide on their publication. The review process will be external and double-blind.

Decisions will be communicated to authors through the journal platform. In the event of rejection, the reasons provided by the evaluators will be indicated.

The submission and acceptance dates of each manuscript will be displayed in a visible place in the publication.

If accepted manuscripts do not meet the editorial requirements, they will be returned to the authors, granting them a period of no less than five days to make the necessary formal modifications. Failure to resubmit the corrected manuscript within the established period will be understood as a withdrawal.

Publication in the Anuario does not prevent authors from subsequently publishing their work elsewhere, provided that its prior publication in this journal is acknowledged.

The Anuario does not necessarily share the opinions expressed by the authors, who are solely responsible for the content of their work.
