Acepta trabajos originales en castellano, portugués e inglés, tiene sistema de evaluación por pares externos de doble ciego, y sigue los criterios marcados para las revistas biomédicas y de la salud publicadas por el International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.


Es una revista de periodicidad semestral, indexada en la base de datos Science Open, Dialnet, Latindex y a la espera de indexación en las principales bases de datos.
