Abstract

The cerebral palsy (CP) is currently the most common cause of motor disabilities in children (associated intellectual and language disorders).  Although there are multitude of research in the CP, the studies on the evolution of the language are rather limited. Consequently, the target of this study is to evaluate and intervene certain aspects of the language in a case of CP; emphasizing the role of the speech therapist and the AAC in the intervention of language and communication. The results show significant improvements in the understanding and expression of language through an AAC in adulthood.
