Resumen

Este trabajo utiliza un estudio de caso de migrantes ucranianos en Italia y la República Checa para mostrar las similitudes en el comportamiento de las remesas y el proceso de integración de un mismo grupo étnico en diferentes países de destino. Nuestros resultados muestran que el comportamiento de las remesas de los migrantes ucranianos en la República Checa e Italia está significativamente determinado por su situación financiera, características demográficas, nivel de capital humano y nivel de integración, así como las características específicas del contexto. Además, encontramos evidencia de que los migrantes ucranianos que están más asentados en el país objeto de estudioi enviarán menos remesas o ninguna a Ucrania, y que por lo tanto la hipótesis de la caída de remesas de Stark se aplica a este grupo étnico independientemente del país de residencia.
